Lauren Hunter, LMSW
Lauren earned her Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice Social Work from Columbia University. She has worked in both School and Hospital settings with children, adolescents, college students, young professionals and family populations. She worked as a transplant Social Worker at Columbia University Medical Center, and the New York School system. Lauren was also fortunate to receive additional clinical training at Columbia University School of Social Work’s Center for Complicated Grief, where she studied Complicated Grief Therapy for individuals experiencing grief and loss.
Lauren is trained to conduct therapy from a goal-oriented, client-centered, strengths-based perspective. Lauren utilizes the most up to date Evidence Based Practices to manage anxiety and depression like Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Restructuring, and Behavior Activation.
