Sandy Mompoint, LMHC
Sandy completed her Masters in Psychology at Adelphi University. She completed her internship at Transitional Services of New York and stayed on to become a Senior Service Coordinator where she helped patients overcoming crises in diverse issues including homelessness, substance abuse, behavioral/mental health and medical issues.
Sandy most recently provided supervision to staff on Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and Person-Centered Therapy in helping patients overcome psychiatric illnesses. Sandy utilizes CBT tools in helping her patients work through the challenges and difficulties of life. Sandy has experience in treating panic disorders, phobias, and social anxiety disorder. Her PCT approach focuses on building a therapeutic alliance through the tenets - genuineness, unconditional positive regard, empathy –from which will serve to create an environment of safety, growth and discovery of the person s/he
