Sheila Torres, LCSW-R
Sheila received a Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University and has over 20 years of experience as a therapist. Sheila uses compassion in providing clients with a safe environment to freely explore the problems that prevent them from living their best life. Sheila is a solution-based therapist who works with individuals and family members struggling with addiction and mental health disorders. Sheila is an experienced group, individual and family therapist using a variety of therapeutic modalities including CBT, Mindfulness, Person Centered, Family Systems, crisis intervention, and grief/bereavement counseling.
Sheila also provides clients with education and support on post-acute withdrawal syndrome, the progression and treatment of the disease of addiction, its effect on mental illness and the process of recovery.
