Cindy Lambkin, LCSW

Staff Therapist

Bio

Cindy earned her Master’s degree from Fordham University and brings years of experience providing counseling services. Throughout her career, she has worked with diverse populations, including individuals living with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and chronic medical conditions, as well as those with histories of homelessness. Cindy's experience also includes working with Caribbean families, children with autism, and officers of color within community-based and supportive housing settings.

Cindy trained in both community-based and supportive housing environments, as well as outpatient mental health clinics serving individuals with complex clinical and social needs. Cindy utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach grounded in Critical Race Theory and intersectionality, incorporating cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, strengths-based, and person-centered frameworks to best support her clients.

Cindy is committed to creating a safe and welcoming therapeutic environment by fostering trust through empathy, active listening, and cultural humility. Cindy prioritizes maintaining a nonjudgmental space where clients feel respected, empowered, and comfortable sharing their experiences.

Cindy's treatment goals focus on promoting emotional well-being, strengthening coping and communication skills, fostering insight and self-empowerment, and supporting clients in achieving stability and meaningful, self-directed lives.
