Rachel Henriquez, MFT-Intern

Staff Therapist

Bio

Rachel is a Marriage and Family Therapy graduate student at Hofstra University, expected to earn her Master’s degree in May 2027. She has experience working with children, adults, couples, families, and clients from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds. Her clinical training includes work at the Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center and the Family and Children's Association, where she gained experience supporting clients through various personal, relational, and family challenges.

Rachel utilizes a collaborative and strengths-based approach to therapy, drawing primarily from Bowen Family Systems Theory, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. She recognizes that individuals are deeply influenced by their relationships and environments and works with clients to better understand the patterns that impact their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Rachel strives to create a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable sharing openly. By building genuine connections and moving at a pace that feels right for each person, she aims to foster trust, self-exploration, and growth. Her goal is to help clients gain insight into themselves and their relationships while developing practical tools to navigate life's challenges. Through a collaborative therapeutic process, Rachel supports clients in creating meaningful, lasting change for themselves and their families.
