Staff Therapist
Bio
Rikki graduated with a master's degree in Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work. She has worked with teens and young adults and is very passionate about meeting clients where they are at and providing a safe space for them to express themselves and their goals for treatment. She values the importance of providing personalized care to each of her clients and utilizing interventions that will best meet their therapeutic needs.
Rikki spent over three years working at Arbor Intensives, a trauma focused intensive outpatient program. She gained extensive knowledge on trauma informed care and the importance of utilizing both skill based modalities and experiential modalities when working with clients who have extensive trauma histories. Additionally, she worked for over a year at a clinic in which she gained experience working with a variety of clients struggling with trauma, anxiety, OCD, depression, eating disorders, and addictions.
When working with clients, Rikki works from a psychodynamic lens in order to help her clients better understand themselves and the root of their struggles. She utilizes an eclectic approach and pulls from interventions influenced by Internal Family Systems, somatic work, person centered therapy, and trauma informed therapy. She always begins treatment by building rapport with her clients and getting to know more about who they are and what brought them to therapy. Her warm demeanor helps clients feel comfortable with sharing their authentic selves and working towards healing unresolved wounds from their past. Rikki believes that all her clients have the ability to foster change within themselves. By ensuring that her clients feel listened to, understood, and accepted, she helps her clients make positive changes in their lives and reach their therapeutic goals.
