She has experience working with clients presenting to therapy with various issues such as: addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, interpersonal difficulties, life transitions, teen issues, trauma/PTSD, school issues, self-esteem, stress management, and more.
Ariel’s counseling approach is integrative, drawing from a variety of theoretical orientations. She believes that each client is unique, and a one-size-fits-all approach is not suitable for each individual client. Ariel integrates elements from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, person-centered/humanistic therapy, motivational interviewing and mindfulness-based techniques, while also being mindful of trauma-informed care. Ariel also utilizes play therapy when working with children and adolescents. This integrative approach allows Ariel to tailor her therapeutic interventions to suit the specific needs, preferences, and goals of each client.
Ariel strives to create a safe and empathetic space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. She believes in building a strong therapeutic rapport based on trust, empowering clients to openly express themselves without fear of judgment or criticism. Ariel’s primary goal in treating clients is to support their emotional well-being and facilitate positive change. Therapist aims to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship with clients, working together to explore each client’s concerns, identify strengths, and develop coping strategies. Ariel encourages clients to gain insight into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, promoting self-awareness and personal growth. Ariel also aims to empower clients to overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve their goals.
