Bio

Caitlyn received her master's degree in psychology, with a concentration in mental health and substance abuse counseling, in 2017 at The New School for Social Research in New York City. She later earned a second master's degree in Clinical Counseling in 2024 at California School of Professional Psychology in California. Caitlyn has experience providing clinical counseling, working with veterans, first responders, and their families including men and women, combat veterans, spouses, and couples ranging in age from 20 to 65+. Caitlyn's experience includes addressing issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, spirituality, family conflict, anger management, addiction, grief, and self-esteem.

Caitlyn utilizes approaches such as CBT, trauma-informed, person-centered approach, psychodynamic, existentialism, and Gestalt therapy. This allows her to build rapport and to address both behavioral patterns and deeper root issues while fostering awareness, personal responsibility, and an exploration of meaning and authenticity in the client’s life. Caitlyn would like to create a genuine and inviting atmosphere by actively engaging with clients and appreciating their unique perspectives. She believes that each person is the expert of their own life, and her role is to support them as they explore various aspects of their experiences. Caitlyn also prioritizes open and honest dialogue to ensure clients feel heard and respected. Caitlyn's main objective is to support clients in developing a deeper understanding of themselves, improving their ability to navigate life healthily, and fostering emotional wellness. She aims to guide them toward resilience and empower them to achieve their personal growth and aspirations.
