Daniella Tiranno, LMSW
Staff Therapist
Bio
Daniella has been providing therapy to clients for six years. She graduated in 2017 from Stony Brook University with her master’s in Social Work and a specialization in helping individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma. She has experience working with people from all walks of life including children, adults, victims of domestic violence, and those suffering from serious mental illness. She has previously worked at outpatient facilities as well as non-profit agencies. Her therapy style is based around the understanding that not everyone has the same needs in regards to their treatment.
She brings an eclectic approach to treatment and utilizes multiple theoretical orientations including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ( CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative, and Psychodynamic. She operates through a trauma informed lens and always incorporates psychoeducation to ensure those she's working with feels comfortable and confident they understand the approaches being taken as well as the foundations of where their struggles may be arising from. When working with clients Daniella's goal is to help them see changes happening in their lives that mirror the conversations and work happening in their sessions. To help them achieve that, she strives to provide a safe environment with open communication about session structure, the nature of treatment, and any additional modalities or changes they personally feel would be beneficial.
