Bio
Mindy completed her Master of Social Work at Adelphi University and has over 25 years of clinical experience in providing therapeutic services to adolescents, adults, and families. Mindy has served as the clinical supervisor and program administrator for residential treatment programs which also encompassed the provision of training and clinical supervision to other mental health professionals. She has trained in community based and residential treatment, outpatient mental health, and private practices.
Mindy utilizes an integrated therapeutic approach that is trauma informed and strength based. She draws from psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, CBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing MI , and solution focused treatment approaches.
Mindy specializes in treating the emotional and behavioral impact of trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, and life transitions. She offers clients a supportive, empathetic, safe environment, where they can begin to share their experiences, their worries, and struggles. Mindy’s approach offers clients the opportunity to gain insight, learn new coping skills and strategies and move beyond their current struggles. Her goal is for individuals to become empowered to strengthen their own resiliency so they may continue to learn, heal, and grow.
