Alondra Acosta Jimenez, MFT-Intern
Staff Therapist
Bio
Alondra is currently working on her master's degree in marriage and family therapy at Hofstra University. Through her time working at community service centers including the Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center and the Family and Children Association, she has learned to work with couples, individuals, low-income families, teenagers, and children of adolescent ages. She also gained experience with utilizing various approaches including CBT, DBT, systemic theories, and narrative.
When working with children, Alondra strives to create a fun and comfortable environment where they can build trust and openness. When working with adults, she establishes rapport and builds therapeutic trust by being as empathetic and warm as possible.
Alondra's goals are to always have clients feel better than when they first walked into sessions, with improved confidence and higher self-esteem, and to feel like they've done work to create healthy coping mechanisms and to ensure that clients know that they have someone in their corner, empathizing with them, and assuring that trust, mindfulness, and openness always prevail in the room.
