Antonia Zeccardi, LMHC

Staff Therapist

Bio

Antonia Zeccardi is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned her Master’s degree from Long Island University in 2014. She has spent over ten years working with individuals, couples, and families in a private practice setting where her goal was and continues to be helping her clients cope with the various difficulties they face in their everyday lives. Antonia has experience working with adolescents and early-adults facing symptoms of depression and anxiety, individuals attempting to navigate life’s ups and downs, and those who have experienced trauma.

During her time in graduate school, Antonia became very interested in CBT and its effectiveness. Clients can change their ideas or cognitions about events and can change negative responses into positive ones. She feels confident in the effectiveness of these techniques and how they could be utilized for the many diverse issues her clients were facing.

Antonia tailors treatment plans based on what is best for each individual client and will incorporate a humanistic approach into her counseling style. Helping clients help themselves, by teaching the specific coping skills that are best suited for the individual client in an environment where they feel safe and secure is Antonia’s goal.
