April Cohen earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in June of 2023. She trained at The Therapist Next Door Counseling- a private practice setting, providing services to adults and adolescents across a wide range of clinical concerns. She specializes in supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and complex trauma.
April utilizes person-centered, evidence-based approaches tailored to each client's needs. She draws from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Attachment-Based Therapy.
April aims to help clients develop practical coping skills, deeper self-awareness, and find emotional well-being. She strives to create a safe and collaborative environment in order to meet therapeutic goals of each client.
