Bridget Rynne, LMSW

Staff Therapist

Bio

Bridget received her master's degree at Hunter Silberman School of Social Work and has several years of experience providing counseling. Bridget has experience working with populations such as college students, young adults, and adults with developmental disabilities. Bridget gained her experience by providing services at different facilities, such as a habilitation center for adults with developmental disabilities and a university counseling center. Within these populations, she has also worked with people from diverse backgrounds as well as with people who were seeking counseling for a variety of reasons, including life transitions, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, self-harming behaviors, stress, traumatic experiences, anger, and relationship issues.

Bridget utilizes multi-modal interventions, including psychodynamic and relational approaches, to increase clients' insight and awareness. She also uses motivational interviewing and solution-focused therapy techniques to help clients formulate and meet their goals. Bridget creates a comfortable environment by building a trusting relationship, providing a consistently supportive environment where clients will feel heard, and empowering them to live the life they envision for themselves.

Bridget's primary goal as a therapist is to create a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients. She believes that each client is an expert in their lived experience, and she is honored to listen to and collaborate with her clients. To further build the therapeutic relationship, she encourages open communication and feedback throughout their work together.
