Christopher Manders, LMSW

Staff Therapist

Bio

Christopher earned his Master's degree from Fordham University and has many years of counseling experience working with adults and adolescents. His clinical training includes experience in a nonprofit addiction agency and an inpatient hospital unit, where he supported both male and female clients navigating a range of emotional and behavioral concerns.

Christopher draws from behavioral and cognitive orientations in his work with clients. He creates a safe and open environment by maintaining a tidy, uncluttered space where clients can feel physically comfortable and at ease. He emphasizes strict privacy and a nonjudgmental attitude to encourage open communication and help clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences.

Christopher's goal is to help clients build self-compassion while reducing self-criticism, manage difficult emotions, and identify and modify negative thought patterns. He also supports clients in developing sustainable coping strategies, gaining clarity and self-discovery, and fostering mindfulness, acceptance, and presence.
