Bio
Dakota earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Adelphi University and completed her comprehensive clinical training at Nassau Psychology. During her internship, she gained extensive experience treating clients across the lifespan presenting with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relational concerns while actively participating in rigorous case consultations and clinical reviews. Guided by a deep passion for healing, Dakota creates a collaborative and empathetic space where clients feel supported in developing meaningful, personalized treatment goals.
In her clinical practice, Dakota works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, trauma, family conflict, parenting concerns, self-esteem issues, and chronic stress. She draws from a strengths-based approach while thoughtfully integrating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, and mindfulness techniques to foster greater insight, strengthen coping skills, and promote lasting change. Beyond her individual work, Dakota also has a strong interest in group therapy and the unique opportunities for connection, growth, and support that the group setting provides.
Dedicated to holistic family wellness, Dakota also serves as a parenting educator and is actively pursuing her New York State Parenting Educator Credential.
