Gabriela Gilmore, LMSW

Bio

Gabriela earned her Master's degree from Fordham University and has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Her clinical training includes schools, nonprofit organizations, and inpatient healthcare facilities, giving her experience supporting clients across various ages, backgrounds, and life circumstances. Gabriela provides a nonjudgmental, safe space for clients to be themselves and express their feelings. Her goal is to provide clients with the tools to feel empowered and confident in their decision-making, better equipping them to understand and tackle challenges they have or will face.

Gabriela utilizes an integrative approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Supportive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and culturally sensitive approaches. She tailors her approach to each client's individual needs and experiences with warmth and compassion.

Gabriela values each person's unique identity and believes that successful therapy begins with genuine connection and trust. Whether its life transitions, relationship challenges or various traumas, Gabriela works collaboratively with her clients to make them feel heard, respected and understood. Together, they work towards meaningful and lasting change.
