Bio
Jordan completed her master’s degree with New York University in 2022 and has over two years of experience providing counseling in a number of clinical settings. Her training as a student included supporting a shelter/hotline for domestic abuse survivors as well as working with veterans who have serious mental illness diagnosis’. Her full-time experience has been in an outpatient primary care mental health setting with the Veterans Health Administration seeing a whole spectrum of ages, demographics, and experiences. Jordan's experience also includes summer work and volunteer experiences with pre-school, teenage, and elder populations.
Jordan sees clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflict, and more. Therapist prefers to utilize a mix of theoretical orientations such as psychosocial development, rational choice, and systems theories as well as interventions of CBT, DBT, trauma informed care, solution focused, and motivational interviewing with the purpose of best supporting the client’s needs and preferences.
Empathy and confidentiality are at the forefront of Jordan’s approach as a clinician. Therapist will work to meet a client where they are at to gain understanding of their goals so a productive therapeutic relationship can be built. Clinician strives to provide a supportive safe space for people to unpack feelings and experiences in order to gain skills and insights which can be applied outside of sessions.
