Bio
Kayla is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Adelphi University, with an expected graduation in 2027. Kayla has worked with a diverse population, including children, adolescents, and adults. Through her academic and clinical experiences, Kayla has supported individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and family-related challenges. Kayla's training in a private practice setting has also given her insight into both the clinical and administrative aspects of client care, helping her develop a well-rounded understanding of the therapeutic process.
Kayla takes an integrative approach to therapy, primarily drawing from cognitive-behavioral techniques while incorporating psychodynamic perspectives to better understand how past experiences shape present thoughts and behaviors. Kayla is committed to creating a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and respected. By using active listening, validation, and a collaborative approach, she works to build strong therapeutic relationships and support clients in making meaningful, lasting changes.
