Bio

Shelby Rodgers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Adelphi University. She has experience providing therapy to adolescents, adults, and couples in various settings, including schools, OMH residential programs, and outpatient mental health clinics. Shelby specializes in working with clients experiencing OCD, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. She is passionate about helping individuals navigate life transitions, manage mental health symptoms, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier relationship patterns.

Shelby strives to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe expressing their thoughts and emotions openly. She believes that building trust and developing a strong therapeutic relationship are essential components of effective treatment.

Shelby incorporates various evidence based approaches in her work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She integrates these modalities with empathetic listening and collaborative goal setting to help clients gain insight, build coping skills, and improve their quality of life.
