Tami Williams, LMSW

Staff Therapist

Bio

Tami earned her graduate degree in Social Work from Adelphi University. She has extensive clinical experience supporting adults, children, and families navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. Throughout her career, Tami has worked with individuals across the lifespan, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, in a variety of settings such as outpatient behavioral health clinics, transitional independent living programs, and telehealth services. These experiences have given her a deep appreciation for the unique paths people take when seeking support.

Tami integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), behavioral activation, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness to help clients better understand their emotions, patterns, and experiences. Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s needs.

Tami believes therapy should be a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their feelings without judgment. She approaches each client with empathy while helping them gain insight, build healthier habits, and develop effective ways to cope with life’s challenges. Her goal is to empower clients to manage stress, and create meaningful change.
