Bio
Yolanda earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Syracuse University. Her professional experience includes working with diverse populations across behavioral health and community service settings. She has supported adults and children with mental health challenges, survivors of domestic and sexual violence, individuals with developmental disabilities, and clients navigating reproductive health services and complex care systems. This work has strengthened her understanding of how life experiences, relationships, and social stressors can shape emotional well being.
Yolanda provides psychotherapy and supportive counseling to adults navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, and patterns of overthinking or chronic stress. She approaches therapy as a collaborative process that helps clients gain insight, improve communication and boundaries, and build practical coping strategies.
Her work is grounded in a person centered and trauma informed approach and integrates CBT, DBT, ACT, psychodynamic, mindfulness, and family systems perspectives. Yolanda aims to create a supportive space where clients feel respected and understood as they work toward meaningful change.
